It was amazing to see the Western Wall and all the people worshipping there. We were able to be there for Shabbat. The Jewish sabbath is on Saturday but is started at sundown on Friday night. Shabbat was fascinating. There were more orthodox jews right up next to the wall worshipping and then behind there were hundreds of younger men worshipping and singing. It looked like a big party, all these young men were singing so passionately and were so excited to be together starting shabbat. It was so fun to see and be apart of that experience.
We were also able to see the Dome of the Rock. The Dome is so beautiful and we had the nicest Palestinian man who took us around the grounds. While walking around we witnessed some Israeli women protesting by walking around the grounds giving silent prayers to have their temple rebuilt. Following them around were young Palestinian kids in protest of them being there. Each group feels so strongly for their cause. It is such a volatile area with the Wall and the Dome being so close in proximity.
We also went through Hezekiah's tunnel. That was insane walking through a small tunnel with water running through it. It was built before Christ's time with amazing precision. We also saw remains of the City of David.
Some other favorites were the Garden Tomb, Orson Hyde Park, the Garden of Gethsemane, Yad Vashem and the markets in the Old City.

Jerusalem was an incredible experience and one that I surely won't forget.
