Sunday was Sarah's last day with us so we decided to go all out and have brunch up in the art colony at HoluaKoa Cafe. This place was just as much charming as the food was delicious. I had a macadamia nut crusted french toast that nearly put me in a food coma. Our server recommended a beach just south of Kona. The drive was beautiful. Hookena Beach has good snorkeling and just a fun beach to swim at. It is technically a black sands beach but looked a little more grey, the sand was so incredibly soft. It was so fun to be with Sarah and we were in denial of taking her to the airport. She is so easy going and goofy and fun, I loved having that one on one time to spend with her.
Day 6:
This was our last full day on the island so we headed up north again to try and get in to Mauna Kea beach, we weren't able to get in so we went to Hapuna Beach which was so nice! On our way up we had the top down on the jeep and listened to some old Jack Johnson. I love that Isaac appreciates music like I do, we have so much fun driving and listening. Hapuna was so nice, we got a lot of relaxing, reading, boogie boarding and swimming in. We saw some whales as well! We grabbed lunch at the beach, I had a delicious fish taco! A good fish taco is the way to my heart. After we were beached out (as if that's possible, I could be on a beach all day and be happy) we headed up to Mt. Mauna Kae to see the telescopes. It was amazing because we went from beautiful sunny skies to rainy cloudy and snowy mountain tops once we got to the top. We got up there just in time before the sunset and were even able to see Maui. The elevation was 13,804 feet at the top, it was crazy going from 0 to just un 14,000 and it kind of messed with our heads but it was such an amazing drive. On our way home we hit up a L&L for dinner and then went to bed.
Day 7:
Our past day on the island we ate breakfast out on the patio and headed back to the dolphin beach, the first one we went to to do some more snorkeling. We had so much fun swimming and talking to different people on the beach. Unfortunately, we didn't have the same luck we did on the first day but still had fun snorkeling. On our way back we hit up the Coffee Shack for more delicious food and of course, coconut cream pie. That whole week as we drove back and forth we would pass the most amazing play ground so we finally decided to stop by and check it out. It is like a kids dream playground, it had the most amazing woodwork and art work. For our last dinner before we boarded our plane we went to Sam Choy's with Grandma Gayle, we all split a few appetizers and salads that were so delicious.

We had such a fun time hanging out with my Grandma whether it was going to the beach, Costco or watching tennis, it was a blast. I so grateful for the time we were able to spend with her and Sarah and for the time Isaac and I were able to spend together.
