We had originally planned our California trip to have my Grammy (my great grandma) meet Daphne. A couple weeks before our trip she had a stroke and her health was declining fast. She stuck around and we were able to see her but she was not responsive. Although she was not responsive I was constantly reminded of her infectious laugh. You see, Grammy was a spunky gal. She loved the A's being at Tahoe and playing cards (especially Spite and Malice). She passed away while we were in California. I am going to miss her dearly but I will always remember her laugh and her love for life.
